Features - House Rules for Greyhounds

As with all dogs (and children) you should have house rules of behaviour with which you expect them to comply. Some are overt rules - 'Do it this way . . . ' or 'Do not do that . . . '; others are more subtle and the dog will come to recognise them eventually.

You do have to give them time to recognise how things are supposed to be in your house and there is always a little bit of give and take; sometimes your idea of what should happen is not quite the same as the dog's idea . . . . . .

So with that in mind here are THE golden rules of house behaviour for a greyhound, with evolved versions : (you can see the complete list of rules and versions here but we suggest that first you follow the rules and their evolution step by step as displayed below!)

Rule 1A greyhound is allowed into the house but only into certain parts of the ground floor. After all it has a very thin skin and not much hair; it would be cruel to keep it outside the house.
